Westwood Lodge staff are trained and dedicated in providing specialist residential, nursing and mental health nursing care to up to 44 residents. Each resident’s independence is promoted as paramount to the ethos of the care delivered at this service.
Located only 1 mile from Newcastle City Centre, Westwood Lodge has dedicated caring staff to attend to all the needs of the residents with all the amenities one may need on their doorstep. Residents have a choice of 3 lounges, separate dining area, dedicated activities co-coordinator and home cooks providing fresh, nutritional and exciting food.

Meet the Manager
Hi, I’m Tracey!
I have worked in the Social Care Sector for the last 32 years, since leaving school, working in a diverse range of services.
I have been a registered manager in my last 4 services and have had a good rating in all inspections. I have managed a variety of services, including challenging behaviour services, complex needs, Autism and physical disabilities, always being CQC compliant and having great relationships with other professionals.
Working with most client groups has enabled me to provide support in many different forms and be able to use all of the skills learned to provide exceptional support along this journey. Seeing many changes along the way and being able to implement these for the people we support and seeing the changes, legislative and local have a positive impact on the individual is my passion.
My greatest passion and skill set lies within the learning disability/Autism and complex needs area, where I feel individuals most often are marginalised and need our sector to be their voice and champion.
I am always open and welcome positive changes, always ready to take on professional development and continue to learn and grow as a manager.

I could not fault the care he received from staff on the unit. They kept us up to date with all his care and his needs.and when he had to go into hospital on more than 1 occasion they were very supportive to us as a family. The manager was lovely to us from the start and always made time to chat with us if need be. There was 1 staff member in particular that my brother really liked, she always made time to come and chat with him and made sure he was comfortable. Always offered coffee as soon as we went in. Brilliant care.
